Wise Employment are currently recruiting for a Production Planning Manager for an established production company based in the East Cornwall area. This is an exciting role with the opportunity to manage their production and short term capacity plans as well as communicating to coordinate activities within the rest of the Planning team, to work within their Planning Department. This is an office based permanent role on an annual salary of up to £45k DOE. This role also includes an excellent benefits package.
What your day will look like:
Your role will involve you to act as a deputy for the Head of Supply Chain where needed so you will need strong communication and organisational skills. You will also be able to conduct training and coaching to team members within your resource, capacity planning and inventory management. Using your excellent organisation skills, you will liaise with various departments and manage labour, stock and equipment. This role will use your creativity to continuously come up with new ideas and concepts to improve and always deliver excellence in productivity and performance to ensure that KPIs are hit. Daily tasks will vary day to day so each day is active and ever changing so you will need to be adaptable and able to produce short 7 days, long and short plans ranging from maintenance, training on hygiene and carrying out briefs.
Degree (Business related) Level Education or Equivalent qualification/ Experience
For this role you will need to have Planning or scheduling Supervisory experience preferably within a food manufacturing environment. You will also require a track record of executing and sustaining inventory reduction as well as customer service optimisation. Experience and advanced skills in Excel, power point and Microsoft Word are required as well as preferably Exeedra system. You will be required to carry out system implementation development within this role. For this role it is necessary for you to have strong communication in both written and verbal as well has the ability to present your plans. The right candidate will also need an excellent understanding of customer service along with a knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
This is a Monday to Friday (8.30am – 5pm), permanent on-site role.
