Shop Floor Manager

Job Description

Our Client is an international engineering company that supplies to the automotive and aerospace industries. They are leaders in their niche field, and have operations in the UK and Europe. The company is very well established with very few competitors for their core products. We are seeking to appoint a Shop Floor Manager

Main purpose of job:

• Manage the day to day running of the assemblies department (approx. 30 people over 3 shifts)
• Ensure all assemblies are dispatched in the correct quantities, quality and time scales
• Maximise the efficiency of the department
• Personally contribute to the production function of the section, by setting and adjusting machines/jigs

Skills/experience required:

• Demonstrable experience managing a large team
• Have excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with management of other departments, suppliers and other employees
• Engineering background
• Robotic welders would be an advantage
