EHS Advisor

Job Description

Looking for some temporary/contract work? Smart recruitment are aiding a global engineering company with a temporary position for a EHS Advisor

The role will be working on a day shift, with one day working from home. The job purpose is to continue to develop, implement and maintain existing EHSE framework which supports a working environment including both the manufacturing and office areas of the business.

Main duties include:

• Provide EHS guidance during change management and project commissioning activities
• Ensure management and EHS committee are kept up to date with legislative and corporate requirements
• Liaise with HR to ensure all hygiene programme is developed and implemented
• Manage the site EHSE diagnostics programme
• Support EHS training needs as required
• Record and analyse EHS statistics
• Continue and develop team leader, managers and employees own EHS challenge and offering technical expertise.
• Coach teams to thoroughly investigate and manage site incidents, identifying root causes

Key candidate requirements:

• NEBOSH Certificate
• Experience of Health, Safety and environment management systems
• Problem solving (8D, Fishbone, 5 or similar)
• Highly motivated
• Effective communication skills
• Computer literate with good Microsoft skills
• Sound technical ability
